Ingredients
- 1 lb thick-cut bacon strips
- 3 tbsp Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Vermont Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange bacon strips in a single layer.
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, black pepper, cayenne, and apple cider vinegar.
- Brush the syrup mixture generously over each bacon strip.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are caramelized and bacon is crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet (the glaze will set as it cools).
- Transfer to a serving plate and serve warm.
