The Southwest Wildflower Mix is an open-pollinated blend of annuals and perennials, both native and introduced, for colorful low-water plantings. Ranging 9 to 36 inches tall, it includes arroyo lupine, five spot, Indian blanket, blue flax, moss verbena, California poppy, white and showy evening primrose, tidy tips, California bluebell, Mexican hat, mountain garland, African daisy, globe gilia, bird's eyes, dwarf plains coreopsis, desert marigold, and blazing star. It blooms spring to fall and draws bees and butterflies.

How to grow

Sow in fall or spring into native soil, scattering seed and covering lightly to about 1/8 inch. Use roughly 1/4 to 1/2 lb per 1,000 sq ft, or 13 lbs per acre for larger areas. Give full sun and moderate water; germination takes 10 to 30 days, with bloom spring through fall.
