Superlost Coffee at Madeline's
Share
Superlost Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster in Brooklyn, New York, founded in 2017 by David Roa and Craig Deahl. The roastery sources traceable, single-farm and microlot coffees, pays producers above fair-trade rates, and supplies cafes across New York City. Roasting is done in-house by Craig Deahl.
Part of the brand's signature is its artwork: each coffee carries its own name and a bag design from a local artist who interprets the name and flavor of the roast. The lineup mixes a steady house espresso with rotating single-origin lots that change as new harvests come in.
The Supernova espresso is the backbone, a medium-roast blend of three Latin American farms that pulls consistent shots with notes of chocolate, orange zest, and almond. Around it sit rotating lots: Supernatural, a natural-process coffee currently from Finca Chapata in Colombia; New Light, a washed, light-roast East African currently from Burundi; and Solo Sabado, a washed single-farm Colombian from Tolima with stone-fruit and grapefruit notes.
